Avast! IS shows AD OF "BACK TO SCHOOL SPECIAL"Offer in Avast! main GUI,In POPUPS i disabled show popups offers for other avast! products then why avast! doing this???? ::)Pls fixed that.

I may agree with you but, I also remember a time when we paid for Cable TV to avoid the Ads. :)

As far as I'm aware.
Historically, when these UI ads were introduced in the bottom 1/4, 1/3 of the UI it was only in the free version.
That I believe is absolutely fine in the free version as they aren't obtrusive (I don't live in the UI), but this really shouldn't be in the paid versions. The ability to opt out of the ads in the paid versions should automatically be extended to the UI.

You are being very optimistic in thinking you would get a reply from avast in this short period of time.

yes, we sometimes show the ads even in the paid products. But you're right we should respect your choice in settings and apply it also on banner. We will adjust the setting and let you know.

We need to adjust our backend configuration, it should be done this week hopefully. I will keep you informed once live so you can test it ;-)

the change is live now. so if you have the settings unchecked you shouldn't see a banner in UI

Ads show for as long as you don't have the highest package which is Premier version. This is called "upsale". It's not unusual, but may be annoying to some. Just ignore it. These banner ads within GUI are so subtle I don't even notice them. Popups are a bit more annoying, but hey, that's a tax on using free version.

As far as I know, all paid versions of Avast can have the ads disabled. I run Avast Internet Security and see no ads at all.
AvastUI | Settings | General then scroll down to Popups. Click on the chevron to show options. Uncheck "Show popup offers for other Avast products"

This discussion has to do with the ad in the UI, not the popup ads.

Still, I've not seen the ads, either in the popups or the AvastUI. They just aren't there, at least on my 3 installations.

Well I had them two weeks ago, before I lost access to my broadband connection. Now I have the access back so to do I have the ad in the lower 1/4 of the UI.
Though I'm using the free version, but I have never minded these ads as they are much less intrusive (I don't live in the UI) than the full fat popup ads.

As MartinZ said, you or other paid users shouldn't see them:

Now in the paid versions, that is was meant to be removed today.
