Title: Error code 0x800704ec Windows Defender deactivated by Avast

I want to use Windows Defender and Firewall in conjunction with Avast as I always have but Avast won´t let me.
Is there a way round this and how do I do it?

Windows itself disables Defender if you install a av.
In Windows version prior to those who do so, avast is disabling Defender.
There really is no need to have both running.

As for the firewall...
What OS/SP ?
What exact version of avast ?
