Title: When does Avast Premier first sync passwords?

Hello. I was wondering when does Avast first sync passwords? Does it happen when you enter a main password to start up or does it sync up when installed?

It synchronizes passwords after you have set it up to do so.

So there will be a process where it'll ask you to synchronize? It's not going to do it just because I have the password component?

No, it will not ask you.
As I said, you need to set it up.

It says that you need to go to the settings menu and click on enable synchronize, is what you mean?

I'm just asking if there's any process when just enabling passwords that would enable synchronization.

I don't see a passwords tab, does that mean the password system has not been set on that device yet?

The component was apparently already installed. The tab was not present in the settings window though

Is the avast passwords component listed as installed ?
If not, do so.

If so, perform a repair of avast and see if the option appears in the GUI. > https://www.avast.com/en-eu/faq.php?article=AVKB161
If it doesn't, perform a clean installation of the latest avast version.

Alright, you said after setup, so I assume just hitting the "password" link in the menu to see what it is isn't setting it up.

I just want to make sure I'm not sharing passwords that I don't want to share on certain devices.

You either synchronize the login names/passwords or you don't.
You can't say I want this one shared, but not that one.

It doesn't.
As I said you need to install passwords and enable synchronization before it works.
