Title: Avast Setup
Post by: Tgell on February 07, 2006, 02:37:56 AM
I have an old 266MHZ notebook computer and would like to know what would be the optimal settings for Avast Home. I tried to do a search because I remember seeing this but could not find it.  The reason for asking is that I tried Antivir 7 but the updates take forever and it seems to be using more resources than version 6. Needless to say, I am using a dial-up connection.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums, Tgell !    :)

I am sure your notebook with run Avast but here is the info you asked for:

You can find this info on the Avast4 home page on the left ... just click System Requirements.    :)

OR click this link below.    ;)

By the way, my old computer is still on dial-up and I have never had it take more than one min for normal VDB definitions. It helps though that my old computer has a 56k V93 modem.

Be sure to come back often, learn more, and maybe help others.    :D
