Title: Console password lost, and "reset password" solution hangs.

All the pc's have been shut down for more than 1 year.  As I boot them all up; they show "Avast must be updated" messages. no surprise there.

Problem 1: I forgot my special, very secret console password!
       I read the forum answer for reseting your password.  It hangs and gives messages about "Cannot connect to database"     
Yes, the database file is there.  It just will not open.
No, I can't uninstall because it asks for my password to do that.

Help.
