Title: You are not protected. Old issue, well documented here, ridiculous.
Post by: REDACTED on January 22, 2017, 03:59:57 PM
I've paid for multiple instances of Avast and have my license valid through June of this year. But for the past 5 months it's been a game of Repair, Reboot, hope my virus protection is on and making sure to look for disabled icons. I've done clean installs, cleaned up regedit, and have been through several dozen repairs per month and I've had it. This software was my go to, but it's just become more of a cumbersome pain when paired with Windows 10. I also disabled Windows Defender via group policy to avoid any A/V conflicts and still, this ridiculous issue persists. I'm always one to do my research and RTFF before asking for help..but after following all of the posts, repairs, and updates, that's it. I'm done.

When doing the clean install, did you use avastclear ?

Have you done a thorough check for malware ?
