Title: Avast is putting temp files in the wrong User folder
Post by: REDACTED on February 04, 2017, 04:44:28 AM
When I first installed Avast on Windows 10, my User folder (in C:) was named SlumberBear. Since then I have changed the name of my user account to SlumberBox in the control panel (Control Panel < User Accounts), renamed the folder manually, and edited the registry to recognize the new name (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList). However, after every reboot, I still see SlumberBear under Users, giving me this trail of folders:

C:\Users\SlumberBear\AppData\Local\Temp\avastBCLTMP

Uninstalling Avast, rebooting, and reinstalling it didn't work. What can I do? Please help.

EDIT: I'm sorry, it seems I must have done something wrong earlier. Uninstalling, rebooting, and installing worked this time. Problem solved.
