Title: Cannot access router via http after update to 17.1.2286
Post by: thrasher2 on February 09, 2017, 08:30:59 AM
Hello!

Just updated to 17.1.2286, after some "intellectual scan" I've got message that my router is vulnerable to some... exploits.
After that i cannot acces my router from any device. Both Ethernet or Wifi.

Hello thrasher2, welcome to the forums.

Have you tried rebooting (i.e. plug its power out, wait a minute and plug it in again) of your router?
Some routers might have problems with "Wi-Fi inspector", which also run in "Smart Scan" ("intellectual scan" you said).

If after router reboot the issue occurs again or doesn't fix...

You will need to remove the Wi-Fi Inspector component.

Avast isn't entirely to blame for this situation. Some ISP routers lock out when they are scanned for vulnerabilities, default passwords etc.

Tried rebooting, unplugging for several minutes, etc. Still can't access web interface of router.
Probably I have to return router to factory settings.

Turned Wifi inspector off.
