After updating Avast it would seem that it prevents certain applications from running although avast doesn't notify me. I found out just by trial and error, slowly deactivating my protective layers one by one.
This dialog box comes up whenever Avast shields are all activated but not when I down all the shields.

See if it helps to disable behavior shield.

ah it works, thanks for the help

You're welcome.

I see that the recent update to avast has not fixed this problem either, does anyone have a permanent fix or do I have to disable behavioral blocker indefinitely

adding a exclusion for the applications should work.

You can also set an exclusion.
Avast GUI -> Settings -> Components -> Behavior Shield

Hi friends,
I am having issues with my avast as well. It seems to not want to open any of my gaming apps or keyboard/mouse programs. I added it to exclusions. It opens. I am glad it does but in adding it to exclusions am I vulnerable to infections? I'd hate to be able to play my games and get a virus because I am able to play games. Are there any ways of telling avast these programs are safe without completely disabling it from looking for viruses? Thank you.
