What avast version are you using (17.1.2286 being the latest) ?
What scan were you doing ?

If you are using the latest version, then open the avastUI > Components - scroll down to the Security Browser Extension & SafePrice Browser Extension and uninstall them.

free version -where is version displayed? always have newest.
2. i dont have both of them-hate them-removed them in registry
3. smartscan. Could see details. clicked on it but nothing opened. then-after clicking again ontop itr disappeared forever... silly my friends.
4. will now do a bootscan.

1. Just right click on the avast tray icon and select about avast. Or from the avastUI > Settings > About Avast.

2. having  said "i dont want firefox-addons by avast. Thanks a lot" my assumption that you wanted them removed.
Though having disabled them, they are still there, removing them completely I would have thought would be better.

3. I believe the Details on the Smart Scan is an acknowledged bug (to be fixed). Having run the smart scan, go back AvastUI > Protection > Antivirus > Scan History, that should give you some information on the scan. Though it won't be much if there were no alerts you're only going to get duration and files scanned, etc.

Both smartscan, bootscan and deepscan found something. i "removed" them reg. bootscan and deepscan. only dont know where are the logs showing details? i have seen logs and reports but nothing regarding "found" can be seen.
normally i am printing them out and then do my actions. Thanks.
update: yes found scanhistory but i dont see an option to print it out! Not good.
NB: regarding the elsewhere reported slowdown of account-logout etc in winxp also AVG-related(first was AVG then Avast installed):
its now gone and spybot search and destroy wasnt so friendly. had to learn to be friendly.... So everything ok now. beside omission of printing out reports here.

1. where is the save report-button? after scan is done
If not available:
2. where are the report-files for all the scan-options:
bootscan, smartscan and deep-scan(if that expression is right)
newest free version:
Avast 17.1.2286

1. There isn't one, it should be automatically be saved in both the Scan History (avastUI > Protection >  Antivirus - Scan History and the report/log files.

2. The scan information should also be in the C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\report folder if you have enabled Generating a report file in the scan settings. There is no deep-scan, I can only assume you mean the Full System scan. The file name will reflect the scan name, unless you have changed what you want the report file name to be.

The boot time scan is somewhat different as it is essentially run before windows has fully started, check the C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log and \report folders for aswboot.log and aswboot.txt

1. Deletion is never a good first option, you don't have any left.

2. Reporting is a function for the creation of a (report) file; directly after a scan you should have access to the data on that scan in the Scan History as I said.

3. The creation of a report file is within the Settings for the scan which you want to run. There is a cog/sprocket in the image of the scan you want to edit, clicking that gives all of the scans settings, including Report file and its Generation.

1. Restarted after having set a reportname but...
a) one cannot set save-location. where was * i exchanged that and defined a name. but search cannot find it! Where is it stored?
2. scan was very quick but it didnt tell how long and
Avast was freezed-in winxp. couldnt close. only with ctrl. + Alt + delete taskmanager
yes before scanning i deactivated liveprotection in both malwarebytes and spybot.
If it will freeze again and i cannot set reportfile i will remove Avast and give AVG another trial.

Ordinarily I would have thought if you can't enter a location then it should be in the location that I gave earlier.

The only issue for that, is the folder may be hidden by your OS, so a search wouldn't find it. In windows explorer > View - and check the  Hidden items.

1. UNHIDE done.
2. i will name the reportfile Avastreportwinxp then. Where will it be saved....
its the report i am still seeing in scanhistory. only cant copy. maybe security reason.
Under report i see five reportfiles:
aswboot
behaviourshield
emailshield
filesystemshield
webshield
But my created reportfile not there....
no reportfile in programs-folder.
maybe i must search through administrators-account since avast was running there. but i can open all users. maybe its in the administrators folder.

So my custom-named reportfile will be stored at the same location like those five? or are they completely something else?
here is what i created:
i want to read the scanhistory in my reportfile.
Those five reportfiles will be stored here in Winxp: none elsewhere
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\AVAST Software\Avast\report

I'm an avast user just like yourself, not an avast employee.

I can only make an assumption (given that you say it doesn't allow you insert a location) that the renamed report file would be stored in the default report location.

You mentioned you are using XP, if you can see the other scan reports then you should be able to see the other one.

Whilst I'm not on my XP system (win10 and avast 12.3.2280) I did run a test created a custom scan I didn't want to change settings of an existing scan. The custom scan I created can be seen in the UI Scan History and it is in the report folder. I can only assume that this general function acts in the same way on the latest version and with XP, as currently I can't test it.

You were a bit quicker-Only thanks to login-problems all the time. winxp doesnt like login via FB....Or i have too strict cookie-restrictions. must delete them almost at every login.

YES YES YES it finally worked. I hope only in my long complete(all options checked) reportfile i can check again what scanhistory has found.
And i could also fine scantime... Was approx. 1h.
now I will run Malwarebytes. Beforehand I will deactivate Avast protection and Spybot liveprotection(or similar).

Good that you can finally see the results of your scan.

I'm now back on my XP system and was in the process of running the test I did (on win10 and 12.3.2280), which has just completed. As per my last test.
