Title: Avast taking so long to complete - seems hung
Post by: REDACTED on February 24, 2017, 01:40:43 PM
Hi - I have avast 17.1.2286 (latest version) When I run a full scan it seems to get stuck at about 81%. It used to take about a few hours. It's been running about 9 hours now. I ran a smart scan on it and it says there is 1 issue to resolve, but doesn't say what the issue is and I'm don't want to say resolve it in case it's a false positive and I get rid of something I need. Is there a way to see what this issue is so I can tell whether to resolve it or not or why the scan is taking so long or not seeming to complete? I don't find this version user friendly at all.

When the full scan is stuck, does Avast service (AvastSvc.exe) use any CPU?

It goes to "1" every so often, but is mostly at "0" in the "CPU" under the Task Manager.
