Title: Stupid question
Post by: MikeD on March 08, 2006, 05:10:15 PM
See the attached jpeg...

What does the icon to the left of the blue ball indicate? The tool tip is attached to this icon - I have no idea what unknown.prolexic.com is. Is it good, bad or just information? What does it mean?

This may or may not be relevant, but e-mails sent via this Exchange server to hotmail accounts seem to be disappearing without trace at the moment, and previously the tooltip did display a string with 'hotmail' in it.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

This is the tray icon of the avast mail scanner (the "Internet Mail" provider), showing the address of the remote mail server the messages it filters are being sent to.

However, Is this shot taken from an Exchange Server? In this case, you should DISABLE the Internet Mail provider. It is not suitable for mail servers (it is meant for workstation use only)...

Thanks
