Title: hips or hids software package

I’m Curious ::)

do i  need hips or hids software package beseide avast?
or this behaivor shield is enough for max protection?

softwares like ossec is it  worth to use?
or no?
if it is, why?
if its not, why?

HIDS = Hostbased Intrusion Detection System (your computer)
HIPS = Hostbased Intrusion Prevention System
NIDS = Network Intrusion Detection System (network)

I believe Avast already has this within the program.

If you take a look at the task manager and you should see aswidsagent.exe, which I believe means Intrusion Detection System.

The Behaviour Shields should also go some way to protection against intrusions as what they do is likely to be suspicious behaviour.
