Title: Installed Avast, Can't Access Some Sites Now. Page doesn't load.
Post by: REDACTED on March 10, 2017, 08:05:08 AM
Hello,

Just installed paid version of Avast AV and I have problems with some sites loading in the browser. For example, I am trying to load Evernote but the site doesn't load in the browser. It just sits there and spins.

I had similar issue with Kaspersky before. As soon as I uninstalled Kaspersky the issue was resolved with certain pages not loading. So now I moved to Avast and I seem to be having a similar issue? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

RN

Version: 17.2288 (build 17.2.3419.0)
Avast Internet Security Paid Version
Windows 10 64Bit Pro
Malwarebytes Paid Version

I used Kaspersky before. Started having the same issue. Uninstalled it. Used Microsoft Windows Defender with Malwarebytes. Had no issues. Deactivated Windows Defender and installed Avast with Malwarebytes. Now starting to have issues again. Similar to what I had with Kaspersky.

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AV(s)..!!
-> https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB11#artTitle

Then:
1. Download Avast Internet Security: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_internet_security_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.
