Title: "Weak passwords discovered"
Post by: REDACTED on March 14, 2017, 04:05:19 PM
I did a scan a couple of days ago and got the result in the attached picture.

I haven't clicked on 'Resolve All' because I didn't know if it would result in my current passwords being changed or which ones or would I have a choice before anything was changed.

I'd be grateful for any guidance - thank you

Most likely related to your router, probably using default admin and log in password

Most likely not. I know I have weak passwords (including to this forum). Most don't bother me.

I just wondered what would happen if I pressed 'Resolve All'

If I remember correctly (at least in the older versions of Avast), it won't change your password, but Avast will tell you about what password is weak, and how to change it.

Every pw is weak, if you put other special signs (than '!' or '?') or more than 2 of these into your pw.
I'm waiting since December to resolve this mistake. So be careful!

If that does actually happen, I'm willing to try it but I've had so many changes I didn't ask for in various programs recently that I am wary... and I'm not even using Windows 10 !

1. no we don't change the password.
2. we tell you that is weak
3. and how to change it.
1. I didn't wrote that.
2. That's right (Avast told us, that our pw are wrong/unsafe), nothing more. But not why.
3. That's wrong, for nobody of Avast told us, how to change the pw, that HNS means it's ok!
    Please see this thread https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=197896.0
And go on and fix it!
