Title: Problem idp.generic
Post by: REDACTED on March 15, 2017, 09:47:24 PM
Hello guys,

A few days ago our AVast Business is recognizing some .exe files from an application made by our virus developers. Usually as idp.generic

I did a scan in the projects folder that makes this executable and the antivirus did not find anything. We recompiled the project and created a new executable and found the idp.generic virus again.
What could be happening?

You can report a suspected FP here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

Yep, I have had a few exe files with false positives. Same IDP.Generic thing. I used the false positive reporting link, and someone has responded to me that they whitelisted the programs, but I'm still getting the false positives.

Have you run a manual update?

Yes, I have ran manual updates and pushed out updates via admin console. Computers are still getting false positives on files that I had Avast team whitelist days and weeks ago.

Does the FP occur with Behavior shield disabled?
