Title: unable to enable all shields (file, mail, web)
Post by: REDACTED on March 23, 2017, 04:28:17 AM
Hi all,

I just installed Avast Free Antivirus yesterday, it is version 17.2.2288(build 17.2.3419.64), and my Windows 10 version is 1607 64bits. Upon Avast installed completion, it showed me "You're protected" in status, I also registered it. While today I noticed all 3 shields (file, mail, web) are off in Avast user interface --> Protection --> Antivirus, and I tried to press the red "OFF" button to enable them but nothing happened and didn't see any error messages.

Then I tried to enable the shields by right clicking the Avast icon in the system tray, after clicking the menu item "Enable all shields(3 disabled)" in Avast shields control, I didn't see any response from Avast, and all the 3 shields remained off.

Could anybody help me fix the issue?

Thanks & best regards,

Leo Yeah

Do u try repair?
Repair Avast:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> Avast
2. Click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.
