Title: Windows 2000 professional hangs
Post by: Hans on February 01, 2003, 11:11:54 PM

Seems to be an Avast problem using V4.
Uninstalling the product seems to solve the problem.
Running W/2K build 2195.
No error indication found, simply hangs serveral times. W/2K will come up after several restarts.
Any idea what could be wrong. Re-installed almost everything.

Thanks,

Hans

I think this is related to the hangs that occur during the update of the virus database (see other threads).

Your computer is permanently connected to the Internet, isn't it?

Thanks,
Vlk

All right, this problem should be fixed in build 168 (and also in the latest build 172). Or isn't it?

Thanks
