Title: Virus Chest: No option to delete files?!
Post by: REDACTED on April 04, 2017, 03:24:05 AM
Hello I hope i'm doing this right. Apologies if not!

I recently downloaded avast for mac because a pop up automatically downloaded some strange file (never going on that website again!)
I immediately deleted the file and downloaded avast. I scanned my computer and it found one virus which it put into the virus chest. I want to permanently delete this file and be rid of it but when I select the file and click delete a pop comes up and says "Restore selected items?".
When I click restore, the same prompt comes up. I don't want to restore this file if it's malicious, how do I delete it? I should mention I have a Avast full system scan running, would this affect the ability to delete files in the chest?

I have attached screen shots of when "delete" is selected and when "restore" is selected
Thank you for your time!  :)
