Title: Vista support?
Post by: scifiguy on March 21, 2006, 02:19:38 AM
Will you be supporting Vista (x64)?  If so, any idea for a timeframe?

Note: the current avast! 4.x Home causes some serious crashage...

avast! can't be blamed in this case just because Vista is not in its final realease. Vista is in its deep beta stage, therefore full of bugs and not recommended for using as your primary OS unles you are registered Beta tester for Microsoft.

I am sure avast! will work perfectly with Vista too, once Vista goes gold.

Edit: Just one of those threads dealing with avast!/Vista issues (there is also official anwer from one of the Alwil developers):

What would be helpful is to report the crashes (and help identify the cause), possibly on the thread given by S.Z.Craftec or directly to support. However if reported on the forums other who might also be using the Vista 64bit beta would also get the info.
