Title: Avast Firewall blocks unRaid browser GUI
Post by: derMeister on April 21, 2017, 10:03:21 AM
The unRaid browser GUI doesn't work if you are running Avast Internet Security. It gets stuck, unresponsive and times out regardless what browser i use. The problem gets lesser if i activate the option "allow all connections with friends in private mode" and make sure my local IP-range is also added under Friends. Still the unresponsive GUI occurs sometimes but can be overcome with a new browser session or deactivating - refreshing page - activating Avast again.

I am using the latest Avast Internet Security version: 17.3.2291 (build 17.3.3443.0), latest unRaid version 6.3.3 stable, Windows 10 (creator update) and Firefox 52 with Avast security plugin. Any idea how i can configure Avast to solve the problem or is this maybe a bug that will be addressed in a future Avast version?

Hello and welcome to the Forum! :)

Deactivate the Port-Scan in Firewall settings.

thanks you for the immediate response, deactivating the port-scan feature seams to be the solution, but i will test it more intensive and report back!
