Title: Have Avast Premier PC account - Can I use a Licence to secure android device?
Post by: Bluejonny on May 17, 2017, 08:16:25 PM
HI there - I have an Avast premier account and I have some licences left over and want to secure my Galaxy Tab.

I sent my tab a download link from my Avast account, but I cannot get past the free version. It just installs, then won't let me doing anything more. I noticed on the bottom of the email I sent it said "swipe right to tools" but you cannot swipe right on the mobile version.

Even when trying to enter a licence code at the purchase point on the tab it still fails. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

BJ

No, licenses are per platform as been explained in other threads already.

That's a bit misleading then, because all I did was Click on "Secure another device" and got

"Secure another device - Choose the operating system of the device you want to secure".

That needs to be made clearer.

But thanks for the clarification.

It is perfectly clear.
There is a free version for Android and that will be installed.
No license for it needed unless you want the premium version.
Nest to that, you bought a license for use with a PC not for other platforms.
