Title: Infected files in my /caches/cloudkit
Post by: REDACTED on May 26, 2017, 04:37:17 AM
I have these listed in my /caches/cloudkit:
CloudKitMetadata         com.apple.accountsd
CloudKitMetadata-shm         com.apple.callhistory.sync-helper
CloudKitMetadata-wal         com.apple.clouddocs
com.apple.Safari

Not sure why but Avast keeps prompting that various PDF files in cloudkit here are infected. How should I go about removing them?

And what malware does avast say they containe?
Anything in avast chest (quarantine) ?

Have you tried to clear cloudkit / browser cache ?

Could be the pdf's contain links to blacklisted sites.

Hi guys,

I think it could be link in the PDF and as long as I don;'t open them I'm safe. I just want to get Avast to stop sending these popups. It's getting annoying.

That is why I asked what avast say / what malware name is given?

"PDF:UrlMal-inf [Trj]"

I also cannot turn off the pop ups which clutter my screen.

Yup, it is the link(s) in the PDF's that are causing the problem.
