Title: Avast free and Malwarebytes version 3
Post by: nana3 on June 06, 2017, 03:22:45 AM
Hi, I just installed MB 3 and need to exclude MB 3,   2 Malwarebytes folders and files (6 drivers) in Avast.  I don't know where to put these exclusions in Avast.  In addition to the Settings>General, I have 3 components installed = File Shield - Behavior Shield and Web Shield.

So where do I have to exclude the below items in Avast?  In General and or one of the 3 Components in Avast ?  Exclusions which have to be entered into Avast are shown below.

Exclude the following 2 folders:
C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware
C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService

Exclude the following files:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbae64.sys
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMChameleon.sys
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMSwissArmy.sys
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mwac.sys
C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\farflt.sys

Thank you in advance!!

Thank you Asyn.  I did put the 2 folders in File System Shield.  So that was ok.

Tried to find the 6 drivers in File System Shield but could not find the drivers in there.  So I looked for it in Behavior Shield and had no problem finding the 6 drivers so I put them in there.  Hope that that is okay.  If it's not then please advise!

Funny that a Malwarebytes advisor told me to ask Avast for advice on this particular subject and then you in turn providing a link from Malwarebytes.    ;)
