Title: ASZB: 3.55.2393.607 - Issue on Windows 10 with SRP Rules enabled
Post by: REDACTED on June 19, 2017, 03:22:29 PM
Hello,

I'm encountering an issue with my Avast SafeZone Browser since enabeling Windows SRP (Software Restriction Policies) on my Windows 10 System.

So I'm adding a rule-exception for SZbrowser.exe and vslshost.exe Version 14.0.23513.0 that allows the applications to run by the current Windows user.

Now I can launch ASZB, but when I click the Bank Mode Button, I get the following message: "Unable to load Bank-Mode"

Update:
I'm able to launch Avast SafeZone Browser with Bank Mode from AVAST Icon in Windows Tray.

Appreciate any ideas on how to troubleshoot.
Thanks
Bodo

Does it work if you disable the SRP ?

Before enabling SRP, it works
I disabled SRP now, and Bank mode works

I was able to solve this issue by the following steps:

- From Windows Event Log (Application Log)  I learned that access for these two applications where blocked by SRP rules:
...\AVAST Software\SZBrowser\3.55.2393.607\SZBrowser_crashreporter.exe
...\AVAST Software\SZBrowser\3.55.2393.607\SZBrowser_autoupdate.exe"

Then I create a new exception rule for both applications.
After as restart of ASZB I can enable Bank Mode without any issues.
