Title: Installation problem about Firefox add on
Post by: REDACTED on July 01, 2017, 04:29:14 PM
Hello

I reinstalled my Windows 10 and then I reinstalled Avast. I run a 32-bit version.

Problem is that I can't install Avast Password add on to Firefox. When I go through settings>password section Firefox is not listed in Browser Integration but Google chrome is.

Is there anyway to show it up or can I install the add on manually? I do not want to use Google Chrome

Avast version is 17.5.2302
Firefox version is 54.01

Thanks in advance

I have this same problem. Installation worked fine yesterday (literally), but today I can't make it work on Firefox (even after Avast repair and then reinstallation). A message did pop up twice saying I needed to authorize the plugin, but clicking Resolve did nothing.

In Avast, under Browser extension, only Chrome is listed.

It seems there is a change in a way how Firefox is registering itselft in the system. We are working on the fix.

I have had a problem with the Firefox browser being missing.  Avast keeps popping up a screen which asks to allow Firefox to be installed and that is where it stays.
Support for this topic has been detrimental to the PC and i am running out of patience.

Please (re)search before posting.
A workaround has been posted in other threads.
