Hi,
I have touble with installation of avast. After last avast update it shows window with "UI Failed to load. This is really embrrassing. AV Service is not responding."
So, I try to repair (same result), uninstall & clean with avastclean.exe & delete programfiles\avast software\* & programdata\avast software\* & reboot and still problem persists.
It it avast Free on 32bit Windows 10 Home with Creators Update (version 1703, up-to-date)
It looks like a compatibility problem to me, but only windows defender is installed (within windows) and I disable WD through registry and it did not help.
No other AV or security software installed on the computer.

Any idea how to solve it? Thanks in advance!

Perform a true clean installation of the latest avast version
- Remove everything from installed or previous installed av's
- Remove everything from avast
- Check manually for leftovers (folders, files, registry entries) and if found remove them
- Reboot
- Try to install the latest avast version

thanks for the quick reply, I have tried uninst avast (computer uses only avast more than 4 years), delete folders mentioned above.
reboot. install avast directly from avast.com
I have no other ideas, how to solve it :(

Removing the folders/files is not enough for a real clean installation.
