Title: Behaviour shield shuts off automatically
Post by: REDACTED on July 17, 2017, 11:20:15 PM
Hello there,

I have an elderly Acer Aspire 7551-2113 with 4 Gb RAM running Windows 7 home.  It has Avast installed and no other virus software.
In the past week, the computer has hung repeatedly.  Programs such as Word 2013 and Firefox show "not responding".  The mouse is still active but the computer requires a hard shutdown/reboot.  Also in the past week, the Avast behaviour shield has been shutting off by itself.
I have updated Windows and other software, run ccleaner, defragmented, repaired Avast, gone through startup items and turned off unnecessary stuff.  It hasn't resolved the issue.

Issue similar to here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=201143.msg1388146#msg1388146

Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance

It's a known problem. Avast is aware of the problem. Should be fixed when the next version is released.
