Title: Avast causing Java to crash on Win 7
Post by: REDACTED on August 20, 2017, 05:14:56 AM
I kept trying to run Eclipse and having the java process hard crash.   Uninstalled all java and tried reinstalling Java, and the installer kept crashing.  Finally tried installing with Avast disabled and it worked.  Eclipse/Java also worked.  Reenabled Avast and Java kept crashing again.  I now have Java added as an exclusion in Avast's settings so that I'm mostly covered.  Running latest java/jdk on Win 7.  Being a free user I didn't see any way to submit a bug report, but hopefully this helps others find if they're searching for java crashes or install problems or hopefully avast sees this and fixes.
