Is it better to uninstal v4.6 first then instal the new 4.7 version cleanly? More likely to avoid update bugs maybe?

Just a small clarification:
a) regarding beta status of some versions: it makes no difference if you update from previous version to current release version directly or thru beta version. Final state is the same, just the number of files downloaded is higher in the 'beta way'.
b) Updating to latest release from previous release by invoking updater is faster for you (only differences are downloaded) and better for us (lower bandwidth consumed). I estimate it's about 5x-10x faster by the diff way compared to full download.

I was just concerned at all the errors or bugs being reported; if I got a problem in updating the versions, I would have no clue how to amend, since I am not much good at computers, I just hit buttons and presume things work :D

NORMALLY I prefer uninstalling a program COMPLETELY,
then downloading and installing the latest version .
However, Avast appears to be an "exception" to this
recommended "procedure" .

using 4.6 pro... uppdated into 4.7 latest, everything works ok
