Title: Avast SafeZone is making unauthorized changes to my computer!
Post by: eagleizer2 on August 23, 2017, 03:43:05 PM
In my Win7x64 installation, I do not use Pinned links since I prefer Quick-links.
Every time I start the SafeZone, it creates a pinned link on my taskbar!

I use Avast to avoid malware making changes to my computer, so why this?

avast doesn't make unauthorized changes.

And on a note, SafeZone and SafeZone Browser are two different things.

Well who would guess that you have to specify "browser", because some
smart guy used the same name for something else. It`s not like you have
to say "Chrome Browser" or "Internet Explorer Browser".. lol

Anyway, it finally got another name, and it stopped creating Pinned link
without my approval.

I`m not sure what your standard of "unauthorized changes" are, but
adding Pinned links every time I open the browser is certainly "unauthorized"
in my book. In any case, I think it was clear that I did not like that the
browser created that Pinned link every time I used it.

Cheers
