Martin,

Any word on progress for the license conversion scheme?  I'm eager to try out the SOA replacement, but only when I can convert our existing EBP licenses over...

When can we migrate from endpoint with small office administration to this new management console (on premise) and antivirus business?
I cant wait to be able to remove that terrible silverlight console.

the new one is looking promising

Dear Martin,

since the Avast Business Cloud Management Console is already version 3.4 - the on premise variant still shows version 3.1.100; the installer on the web is still the same as six weeks ago. Will there be updates to the on premise management console, too? Will they be "internal" or will they need a full download and running the installer (or even - remove first and install new package)? Any news in these matters? :)

Best regards,
Dirk @jjsets

As you might have noticed yesterday has been released version 4.0 of the Cloud Console (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=210367.0) and in a few days, On-Premise Console version 4.0 will be released as well. It will contain all the features and bugfixes that have been already released for cloud version.
Our current plan is to continue shipping a new version of the Cloud Console every 14 days - which means to deliver new improvements and bugfixes faster to you. On the other hand, the On-Premise console will be shipped randomly - means once the functionality will be implemented in a full scope and therefore gives you (customers) enough reason to upgrade.

Updating process of the On-Premise is simple, the console itself will notify that new version is available and also displays a link to the new installer. Once you will have the installer, you will just run the installer and that's all.

When can we migrate from endpoint with small office administration to this new management console (on premise) and antivirus business?

The migration process is still in progress, it's quite a bigger task as we have to ensure that license will be migrated properly, all devices will be properly updated etc. Our goal is to offer you migration process as soon as possible but it will still need more time on our side to make it smooth and correct.

Dear Martin

we can repeatedly read that Avast hardly working on license migration. But nothing more accurate - include estimated date. We have Avast Endpoint Protection Plus (with MS exchange support)  and unfortunately, license will expire in 14 days.
We are now thinking what next, we need informations.
Buy Avast Endpoint renewal ? Will be there some migration process to new Avast business (with MS exchange support) without additional costs?
Or Buy new Avast Business on premise? But if we buy new Avast business license, I guess that we need to migrate all clients in 14 days, because probably new license keys can not be used old avast endpoint protection. And it is a little bit complicated.

So please, Can you give us all known details ?

Thank you very much

Hello,

I'm still confused by all of this.

What will happen to the existing Endpoint / SOA Product? Is it the intention to move everyone onto the Business AV Product?

Kind Regards, Stephen

Guess so, but this will take quite a while... ;)

Any update on status of the migration effort?  It appears the on-premise console is at 4.3 for the new business portfolio version, and I'm eager to get our license migrated so we can begin using the new client on our Win 10 machines (that have only had increasing issues with version 8.x). Any ballpark, perhaps, of when we might expect it?

So it would appear that Martin Svoboda (according to his signature line) is no longer with the company?  Have there been any efforts or update as far as the process by which Endpoint Protection users with the old SOA client can migrate to the new business version?  The original impetus for this (for us) was because aVast was lagging behind, like every other av client out there as far as Windows 10 support and not-causing-Windows-10-issues.  It got better with version 1609 of the client, but we find the old 8.0.x series' performance and stability is still lagging.  AFAIK there are no plans to further develop the 8.0 series, but do we have any kind of a date to be able to migrate ? Have been waiting on this for months and month now and there STILL seems to be no timeline.
