Hi everyone,
new beta version 17.7.2312 (build 17.7.3636.0) is released.
What's new:
- You can add Real site exclusions to Webshield exclusions in following form: dns://donotfilter.mydomain.com
Known issues:
- Sensitive Data Shield (remains the same as in 17.7 BETA1)
- When protected documents are modified, such documents are no longer protected
- When protected document is stored on device which is unplugged and plugged back to the computer, such documents are no longer protected
- Changing rule allow/block in settings are not saved (the rule cannot be changed due to this)

Setup: Passive mode is not activated when another Antivirus solution is already installed
Game Mode: All game mode rules are turned off by default (this setting is reloaded after restart)
Affects both clean installation and update.

Thnx for the Beta, but I still don't like Friday as a release day.
A long long time ago Tuesday was release day, and that was imo the perfect day for ( Beta ) users and developers as well.

Friday I agree isn't a good day for release day of a beta or Stable release, what happens if theres a major bug and either false positives a bunch of files, or causes PC's not to boot up, thankfully didn't happen lately, and seems to be running smooth on my test system thankfully

As I am tired of cleanup problems I will try to jump to BETA channel too :)
Update: the upgrade on top of existing installation went smooth and without glitches - SafeZone browser removed, new Cleanup installed, system protected after first restart ;)

SafeZone isn't removed if you're currently using it. That only happens with a clean install.

Well, not in my case. Maybe something has been changed in 2312? :o avast Premier - last stable version > avast Premier 2312 Beta Online installer on top > SafeZone is removed here, no remains left of it. I´ve been using it on this PC.
Even avast account detects it correctly, although it says I am using avast from back to future - avast 2022 ;D ;D

That isn't hard to rectify, wait until Monday to install it.

This does not work as the majority of the users have automatic updates on.

Then they can switch it to Ask or Manual Update.
Personally since this change to Auto Program update, I immediately switched to Manual. I want control over what goes on with 'my system.'

Good point, useful on BETA channel, as I prefer to check the change-log first before the update to next version.

Not much information on resolved issues/bugs. :(
Yes, the known issues from the last beta not mentioned in this one are fixed. Regarding sharing information about resolved bugs - I am going to take this point and discuss how we can improve here and what we can share with the BETA community.

Hi Red and others mentioning this topic as well. Common day for BETA release is Thursday. However, sometimes the release preparation does not go well and we need to make a decission whether to release behind original schedule or wait to the next week where another release is going to happen. When we are confident enough, we do it later, when not we do not release. We are also working on improving the release process (as well as the development process as a whole) so there will be less late or no releases in the future ;-)

For me, since this release it's the exact opposite - I turn off "make games higher priority", restart my pc and it's enabled again. In fact, everything is enabled by default. Quite annoying.
By the way, making games higher priority is NOT a good solution, see here: https://bitsum.com/how-probalance-works/
For reference I'll quote:
The foreground process is that which has the keyboard and mouse focus. This means there is only ever one foreground process at a time, per user session. Windows already applies foreground boosting by giving the foreground thread longer time slices. Further increasing the priority of the foreground process and/or the specific foreground thread is not only ineffective, but harmful. Remember, giving a process a higher priority does not mean it will run faster. It simply means if several processes are active at once, it will have a higher precedence. However, if any single process has too high a precedence over other processes, as foreground boosting would result in, complications can occur. This is partly because of the additional (and now very high) CPU priority ‘skew’ between the process and its dependencies.
And of course I've tested for myself, and that statement is true. When my game gets a higher priority, my internet adapter is getting throttled - so not enough pings go out / come in. Also, stuff like macros from mice / keyboards are only working with a huge delay.

17.7.2312 Cleanup Premium - notification appeared but it cannot be closed or opened from here, it is gone only when I closed Cleanup from task bar icon completely.

Hi YLAP, If I am correct you reinstalled currently released 17.6.3625 package by new 17.7.X beta package. In this case it is OK that Safe Zone was uninstalled because it is moreless new installation of 17.7 build where installation of Safe Zone is forbidden. Safe Zone must not be uninstalled during program update of AV build with installed Safe Zone but it is not issue if it is uninstalled during reinstallation by new package. Anyway, thank you very much for your help
