Post by: goingbananas on April 29, 2006, 10:57:55 PM
After Update Avast to 4.7. and restart
My PC stuck in blue screen :

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer

" The problem seems to be caused by the following file : aswMon2.sys  PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA "

If this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen, restart the computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps : Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed if there is a new install .........................

"If problems continue  , disable or remove any newly installed , Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing"

"Technical information
*** STOP :0x00000050 ( 0xBE3CA000 , 0x00000000 , 0xB9547000 , 0x00000002 )
*** aswMon2.sys - ADDRESS B954E8A0 base at B9541000 , Datestamp 443fa956"

"Beginning Dump of physical memory
physical memory dump complete"

 - I dont know what to do/ then just re-install Windows AGAIN ???  Are there any better way to fix this problem?
 - Should I have to follow all these instruction? http://www.avast.com/eng/4-7-826-problems.html

Make sure you're using the latest version of avast (4.7.827).
