Title: automatic renewals punished

I have an automatic renewal for AVAST Premier. No problem. I paid € 99,99 for this renewal. A few days after that trenwal I received a massage that I could renew my AVAST premier for the amount of € 54,99.
Is this the way in which AVAST rewards  loyal clients?

Personally I wouldn't use the auto renewal as you are finding there is no renewal discount because the payment mandate isn't flexible.

I have been using avast free for a very long time over 13 years, so I can't speak from personal experience.  However, what you have experienced is common, auto renewal happens followed closely by the offer before your existing subscription ends and before the new expiry date is applied.

There are some that go so far as to uninstall their paid version as that offers to install avast free, once you have avast free, you often get offers.

Some may even seek a refund, Refund - https://support.avast.com/support/tickets/new?form=2 (https://support.avast.com/support/tickets/new?form=2) - all of the payment or the difference between the two payment and offer.

Dan krijg je dus geld terug van Avast. Ik zou blij zijn! Maar je moet er waarschijnlijk wel werk van maken. Wel even in de gaten houden of het teveel betaalde ook teruggestort wordt.
Overigens overkwam mij onlangs ook zoiets. Bevestiging van de abonnementverlenging van Avast Premier ontvangen na betaling, is ook gelijk verlengd met 2 jaar, krijg ik een paar dagen later bericht van Avast dat de bestelling is geannuleerd omdat zij het geld niet hebben ontvangen. Kortom Avast heeft zijn administratie niet op orde.
