Title: On Access scanner message
Post by: upscope on December 25, 2003, 12:42:28 AM
Is there anyway to prevent this popup from appearing everytime I do anything to the disk. I want the scanner active I just don't want the message popup. I am using Home 4.1 version ???

What kind of message/popup do you mean? Could you describe a little more in detail?

I'm refering to the windows that starts in the lower right of my screen when I access a folder or file. It says Avast! On access scanner message. I want on access to run but I don't need the messages everytime it looks at a folder or file. If it finds a problem I want the message. Hope this clarifies the message I mean. I'm running Win ME with IE6.0 SP1.

Ah, OK.
As Vlk said, you should disable the item "Show detailed info on performed action" on the last ("Advanced") page of the Standard Shield provider configuration (in the configuration of the resident protection, accessible from the blue icon in the system tray).
