Title: How to check if VPN is working?
Post by: REDACTED on October 11, 2017, 11:44:03 PM
Hi,

I have just purchased the Avast SecureLine VPN Multi-device.

I have no problem activating the VPN but how can I be sure that it actually works properly? Is there any way I can test it?

Best,

Spartanicos

What is it you want to check ?
You can check the IP from the outside, monitor the data traffic and such.

Hi.

Before activate Secure Line VPN open a command screen (cmd.exe) and type "netstat". You will see all active connections where local IP address will be your unprotected IP. So, activate the VPN, wait some minutes to close and reopen all conections, and repeat the process. Now you will see all connections with another IP address (VPN IP address).

Best,

Ivan
