Title: Avast firewall blocking HTTP requests to the IIS Manager on windows server
Post by: REDACTED on November 01, 2017, 05:15:22 PM
Hello,
I was Install a new version of Avast which include a Firewall on my Web server.
When the Avast firewall is "ON", It prevents  HTTP requests to the IIS Manager on windows server.
I have a website on my web server so when the Firewall is OFF, the site is reachable and when the Firewall is ON the site is not reachable.
How to configure the Firewall so it allows HTTP requests and responds via the IIS manager?

Is firewall profile in public or private mode? ... any difference if you change?

I change the mode to Private.
Then I took the following steps: Protection->Firewall-> settings ->Firewall policies -> Packet rules -> Add new rule
Then I set the value of the "Adress" field the domain name with * the end (i.e: www.MySite.com/*) which became automaticaly  to 0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255

It solves the issue and all web server sites are reachable. Hope its ok.
