Title: Outlook Crash and have to disable avast plugin
Post by: grahammer on May 11, 2006, 12:32:01 PM
Hi

We are running Avast Server 4.6 which is causing some issues with Outlook 2003. Both produces are fully updated.

Outlook crashes and on restart It asked if I wanted to disable the avast outlook plug-in? You have to select yes to open outlook

Anyone had a similar problem found a solution?

Thanks

Whilst I'm not an avast server user, there has been some Outlook 2003 crashes on the avast 4 Home/Pro forum some of which related to faulting module oleaut32.dll and somehow a clash with MS Desktop Search (if installed).

I don't know if you have MS Desktop Search installed, but once it was disabled/removed, no problems.

Hello!

I had the same problem with avast! 4.7 Outlook plugin, I have the MSN Search Toolbar, when I uninstalled it, everything was working fine.

I am going back to Google Search.

Regards,

Manolete
