Title: New Firefox Quantum 57 Web Shied prevents all pages on Firefox from loading
Post by: joelw135 on November 14, 2017, 10:16:21 PM
In the free version of Avast the web shield must be disabled in Firefox Quantum as it causes an error, that certificate is invalid on all sites. How do i get around this?

You could disable HTTPS-scanning (as workaround).
But better to wait for a fix and use another browser...

Does Avast know about this, if not how do they get notified?

Hello joelw135,

I've just updated to Firefox 57 and have no issues with HTTPS certificates. Have you tried turning Avast shields off and on again? That usually helps. Also, what Avast version are you using?

OK, I am really confused. My Avast Mac said up to date. I then went into the preferences and said download beta. And guess what it now works. Thank you all for making me rethink this issue. If you hadn't said yours was working I would have sat and waited. I am on version 13.1, not sure if it is the Beta or not. I am on Beta channel.

This is a Windows board for Avast... the Mac board is different.
