Title: Locked out of phone forgot pattern

I have a galaxy S8. I installed avast paid for the upgrade and was setting up the anti theft, fingerprint and the pattern. I guess i forgot the pattern and can't get back into my phone and it won't let me use my fingerprint because i restarted the phone. If i have to reset it so be it, thats what i get. I tried to factory rest it but i can't even do that, can't get past the pattern screen.

Afaik, AMS uses a PIN not a pattern...

pretty sure i set it up to use the pattern. Unfortunately. I know the pin

Hi, let me check tomorrow, but I am not aware of Anti-Theft using a fingerprint or pattern, either.

The Avast PIN can be restored via Google Account or Avast Account.

If you read this in the meantime, please send me a screenshot of how the app "won't let you use your fingerprint" and also specify what Avast Mobile Security Pro app version you have, thanks.

Hi, confirmed - pattern a fingerprint are App Locking features, the Anti-Theft lock-screen requires PIN.

Please send us a screenshot, it will certainly help us explain the isue.
