Title: Avast keeps shutting down

i recently got a new computer and one of the first things i did was install avast and uninstall the antivirus that came with the  computer came with but avast keeps shutting down and the ui has aljo had problems starting
i have tried the recommended solution such as switching remote desktop services to automatic and choosing the repair option in the program but nothing has work. I've even tried to uninstall and reinstall it.
i am using version 17.8.2318 of avast premier on a 64 bit samsung laptop

Would it be possible to run avast on another computer and create a Rescue Disc?
If it happens to be some type of virus, the Rescue Disc can scan and catch deeper viruses.

i appreciate the advice but i doubt it is a virus as downloading avast is the second thing I did on the computer after downloading chrome to make downloading avast easier
