Title: Unable to change settings due to a request for password after auto update
Post by: REDACTED on December 13, 2017, 05:11:59 PM
 >:(  I'm not a happy chappy.  I was wanting to start Smart Scan so when I clicked to run the Smart Scan a box came up with a request requiring a password to continue.  Now, I'm somewhat confused, because I don't believe I ever used a password for Avast, however, I believe this appeared after an auto update.  So getting frustrated with this AVAST FREE ANTI VIRUS I thought, bugger it, I'll delete this bloody program but no...  I can't even do that.   It requires a bloody password which is really annoying as I feel this program is holding my control to ransom.  To me, that's not right.  So, the question is, how do I get around this confounded problem.
