I'd like to uninstall Avast completely from a computer running Windows 7, but it ALWAYS gets stuck at wsc_proxy.exe /svc /unregister /firewall
I have already tried:
uninstalling the usual way, from the Control Panel.
using the AvastClear software from this website: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
using the AvastClear software in Safe Mode.
In all of my attempts, it always gets stuck at "wsc_proxy.exe /svc /unregister /firewall."
The only thing that *sometimes* works is executing an uninstall task from the console. This isn't guaranteed to work all the time either.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hello,
1. Boot to Safe mode.
2. Open TaskManager and then run avastclear.exe (you should download avastclear.exe before.)
3. Kill wsc_proxy.exe in TaskManager if uninstall process stopped.
4. Kill again when stopped.
5. Reboot after uninstallation completed.
Thanks!
