Title: Avast Tray Icon Says "your system is not fully protected" & Interface won't open
Post by: REDACTED on December 22, 2017, 05:18:34 PM
This issue started 2 or 3 days ago where the Avast Tray Icon has a yellow triangular caution icon overlayed on it.  Hovering the cursor over the tray icon brings up the message "Attention, your system is not fully protected".  Clicking on the tray icon will not open up the Avast Interface, nor will clicking on the program icon from within the start menu.  I am unable to open Avast to check on its status therefore.  The Windows Action Center indicates that "Avast reports that it is up to date and virus scanning is on."  At this point I am uncertain about what version of Avast is running since I do not know if it has updated itself recently.

Thank you!  Using the repair installation solved the problem.
