Title: The joys of drive-by's? anyone else get this, i didn't install anything

Avast isn't even saying its a threat its just a popup and i tried to delete it but couldn't which is then when i realized its running in the background :( i zipped the file and sent it to Avast. https://i.imgur.com/UKzRzwX.png

update: MBAM is also not detecting a threat. no clue where it came from i haven't downloaded or installed a file in a long time.

I think the problem with cryptominers is that some people run them deliberately. If Avast removes the software without asking, they'd be pissed off and rightly so.

If you don't want this, uninstall it.

i never installed it. i totally forgot about the Uninstall lol i just deleted the main folder, now when i press uninstall it says it already is or can't find the folder. God Dang crypo miners and script websites throw at your browser. no idea how i got it

Yeah, scary stuff. It shouldn't happen without consent. I assume you are running with admin privileges?
