Hello,
I decided to try the 60 days free trial for Cleanup Premium today. I entered my credit card information together with my email adress. At this point I should mention I did not receive an email confirming my order.
I then tried deactivating the auto renewal cancellation. I opened Cleanup Premium, went to Subscription then clicked on the View my account link. (See attached image Cleanuppremium1.jpg)
I took me to the Avast account login page. No way to remember my password so I clicked the "Can't access your account ?" link which prompted me to enter my email adress.
First surprise : I got an error message telling me my email adress is not registered. This is the same email adress I used to process the payment to Cleanup Premium. I should mention that I did have an avast account since I have previously received emails from Avast.
I then went to the support page about deactivation which tells me to go this website: https://www.avast.com/fr-fr/find-order
First option is to use the order number. Since I did not receive an order confirmation I went with the second option of using my email adress and 4 last digit of my credit card number.
Second suprise : I get an error message telling me the information I entered is incorrect.
So at this point I have no way to connect to an account, and no way to track my order. But I certainly did give my credit card information for the free trial, that was not an issue for Avast apparently.
I decided to create an Avast account with my email adress thinking maybe this would work. Well it doesn't. It says in my account that I have no licenses registered or anything.
So now, I have a useless avast account that doesn't allow me to deactivate the auto renewal.
I would strongly appreciate some help to deactivate the auto renewal of Cleanup Premium. This is outrageous that I was able to place a purchase without an account in the first place. Or without Avast checking any account information. And it is outrageous and shady business practice for the deactivation to be impossible by myself, in my case.

I agree that it might be sometimes quite confusing.
Anyway you should have a confirmation email with a subject like Avast - Order Confirmation (Order #XXXXXXXX) in this email you have two important information Order ID and Password.
You can use these two to login here: http://www.avast.com/en-us/find-order (http://www.avast.com/en-us/find-order) where you can manage your subscription.
If you didn't get the email for some reason, please contact our support directly here: http://support.avast.com/ (http://support.avast.com/) and they should help you to get it done.

Unfortunately, I did not receive an order confirmation email.
The support website is not clear enough for me. Can you please tell me which topic I should look for ?
Edit : All relevant topics on the support website require an order number or order ID, which I don't have. I can give you other information about the order such as my Name, postal code, and time attention which I placed the order. I can give you the email address I used for the order, although I suspect I may have mistyped it when placing the order. It would explain why I didn't get a confirmation email.

The website is amazingly convoluted and difficult to use, on purpose, so you will get frustrated and simply give up. I am stopping payment through my bank, and I suggest everyone do the same. This company is a crooked enterprise.,,BEWARE!

Would you mind sharing the ISC number or the Digital River company so I can oppose the payment too ? I can't seem to find it.
I have always used Avast as my antivirus software. But now, knowing that they use such dishonest business practices, I am definitely removing and changing software and staying the hell away from this company.

Could you please send me your email addresses which you used to purchase the trial? I would like to check what happened that you didn't receive the confirmation email.
Also we can cancel the subscription once we will know to which email account it belongs.

Thank you , today i received a mail from avast mentioning about the auto renewal in few days.
That mail even contained order id and password . This time with the help of these info I was able log in. Now i have turned off auto renewal.

I want to cancel my free subscription to Avast Cleanup Premium 60 day trial-1 PC-1 year, am able to access my Subscriptions Details but can't disable Automatic Renewals as there are no settings to click on next to Automatic Renewals. Can you deactivate automatic renewals for me? This is what shows on my computer:

I want to cancel my Cleanup Premium free subscription.I've already tried following your instructions as per Avast support task cards but on my computer, once I access my subscription details, no link comes up to disable automatic renewals. This is the problem. Please refer to my original question.
I'm also annoyed that my credit card details are showing up in my subscription details and I can't do anything about cancelling this automatic renewal.

I just checked the license record associated with the email you have registered here on Avast Forums and the automatic renewal was on. I already cancelled it so you don't have to worry about it anymore.

Im having the same problem, i never got the email with the order id, all i want is to cancel the renewal. I have the activation code, email, card used, everything. just please someone help for the love of god

I just cancelled your subscription so you don't need to worry about charging your credit card.
The license is still valid until June 3rd.

I too am having terrible experiences with trying to cancel Avast Cleanup Premium trial. Nowhere in the interface or anywhere is a suitable button or option.
This is the only glitch I have encountered with Avast over time. But I still hope that there can be resolution of this issue which is going to confound a lot of people until it is fixed.

Please help. I have spent hours trying to cancel my auto renewal for your Cleanup Premium for which I had a 60 day free trial. My circumstances at the moment mean that I can't afford to renew at this time although I do hope to in the near future as i have found it very efficient.

I find this outrageous and have no idea how to solve this, some assistance would be much appreciated as I have less than a month left on this free trial and I refuse to be charged.

I am now back to square one. Also when i try to click on "Activation Code" it brings up a box saying "Error 305."
It seems Avast want to make this impossible for us to cancel our subscription. i have taken screenshots of every single step ive mentioned, so i have evidence of my attempts to cancel the subscription and i am willing to take legal action if Avast try to charge me if i am still unable to cancel before my free trial runs out.

A while ago I had contacted support and got answer that my renewal subscription successfully cancelled. But today they suddenly billed me.

A while ago I had contacted support and got answer that my renewal subscription successfully cancelled. But today they suddenly billed me.
What is going on? Why they took my money without permission? And how can I get it back?

I have been going around in circle trying to gt out of the free CleanUp subscription, I didn't receive and email with an order number in it and used PayPal as my payment therefore have no way of giving the last five digits of my credit card. Some help would be great, I have tried everything they say will accomplish this.

Second suprise : I get an error message telling me the information I entered is incorrect.
So at this point I have no way to connect to an account, and no way to track my order. But I certainly did give my credit card information for the free trial, that was not an issue for Avast apparently.
I decided to create an Avast account with my email adress thinking maybe this would work. Well it doesn't. It says in my account that I have no licenses registered or anything.
So now, I have a useless avast account that doesn't allow me to deactivate the auto renewal.
I would strongly appreciate some help to deactivate the auto renewal of Cleanup Premium. This is outrageous that I was able to place a purchase without an account in the first place. Or without Avast checking any account information. And it is outrageous and shady business practice for the deactivation to be impossible by myself, in my case.

sometimes people enter wrong email address or mistype it when purchasing the trial I think it is also your case.
However usually what helps us is know your license number (the one which is visible in the product if you navigate to Menu -> My Licenses and expand the product name below). If you could send it to me I will track down your record and cancel the subscription for you.

This licence cancelling is a sick joke... I'm trying to do it trough web portal (I'm logging with my email), in "licences" section I press "cancel auto-renewal" and what i get? "we're sorry we couldn't cancel your auto-renewal subscription" (i made a screenshot). I can't do it other way because I don't have order id - option "Forgot your order ID?" is not working either, I'm using correct email (same as for logging to this forum and web portal), I'm sure that last 4 digits of my credit card are also correct (I don't have other credit cards, so there is no way i used another one... if this card will be charged i promise i'll sue Avast). So i can't contact "customer support" without this stupid order id.
I don't think this is an accident, you want to make this cancelling impossible. Do you want to be sued?
I want to cancel my subscription for this useless product and i want it now.

i just post to tell that i had also problems in de activating the auto renewal, the digitalriver page (italian language version) seemed to not work properly, it was not possible to know if the renewal was on or off. i had contacted the assistance trough the link given by Stellarman in the first page of this thread and in only a couple of minutes i had an answer and now my problem is solved.
in my opinion the whole procedure to de activate the auto renewal is not clear and could be improved, but i am very pleased about how fast the assistance gave me help, once i managed to understand how to contact it.

I'm sorry for the confusion around your auto-renewal.
This license was registered to a mis-typed version of your email address, and so our systems did not identify it.
I have corrected the email address for you now and cancelled the auto-renewal for the license. I have requested an email confirming the cancellation from our distributor (Digital River), which you should receive today, and I have also resent the missing confirmation email (both to the correct email).

Only my concern is My license on my Cleanup Premium is still showing "renewal date". It does not say "expires"

The changes made to the auto-renewal can take some time to propagate through our systems but I can see that this has been updated on our licensing servers now. The license should show the correct expiry information and update in your application once it synchronizes with our servers, which happens automatically every few hours (or you can force the license to update by rebooting your system and re-opening the Avast application).

I all ready canceled my auto subscription know but no use they have all ready detected the full amount when i contact avast support there is no reply at all from their side... so unfair now all ready two days passed will wait for one more day still no action .We can contact our bank and create a dispute against them...
Before i was using MC cafe it was so cheap and i can use it for my lap the PC..they never have any auto renewal like this software..
I am totally disappointed with they service and way of deducting money without any permission.

I assume it is the product you would like to cancel the subscription for.
If so, then your subscription has already been cancelled on October 5.

I used Avast Cleanup Premium trial for 60 days since 29 Oct. 2019 wanted to unsubscribe before renewal on 29 Dec. 2019. I tried my best for 3 whole days and could not. I gave my debit card no. for 60 days free trial. I did not receive any email at the time of start of trail or even after that. My account has been debited towards subscription for one year. I logged into my account using email ID and it shows no subscriptions. I want refund of my money and it seeks order no.
I am at loggerheads to find out Order No. in absence of any email. Even the order no. locator does not work and says "INVALID DATA" upon entering email and last four digits of debit card.
Can any one suggest some way out or I will have to get my debit card cancelled from the bank?

For everyone who comes on here, I'd like to mention that it turns out my auto-renewal was only cancelled AFTER they converted my trial into a year's paid subscription. And charged me for it. Two days before my 60-day trial was to end, which they luckily gave me evidence of. Now I have to take it up with my credit card company anyway. Be careful, just because they say they unsubscribed you doesn't mean they didn't charge you.

I also have this problem and I’m not able to retrieve the mail with order number nor to retrieve the order number with credit card number. The subscription is not visible in the account, only license number is locally present on my computer. Is there anything I can do? Otherwise, I’m thinking about blocking my credit card.

I'm posting my first comment and see it is in response to the Cancel Cleanup Premium auto-renewal? I just signed up yesterday for the annual premium service. All I can say at the moment is that my computer for the first time is working fast. This was a problem for a long time. It literally took over two hours + for the last step in the cleanup process. I'm completely happy at the moment but the only problem that I have and would appreciate an answer is that it told me that the price was $19.99 plus taxes and I ended up being charged $39.99 plus taxes. Why was I not told about the extra charge?

Cancelling your trial,
If you used your credit card to get the trial then please check your email inbox there will be a confirmation email about the start of trial with a link to cancel it.

3 subscriptions a year since 2017 of between 20-60 euros linked to my paypal. I never received any product or notification from AVAST ever!! Just happened to checking through my underused paypal account when i discovered this sneaky auto-payment of 59.99. I have contacted paypal so that i can at least recoup this.
It is probably the only company in existence online that will allow you to auto subscribe without attaching this to an email or account or sending confirmation or receipt for said "subscription". Disgusting behavior. I will be seeking legal advise or at least reporting this to the relevant ombudsman body in my country.
