Title: Avast free change the DNS and not work on some sites, why ?

from christmas, avast sometimes   load me FB, gmail , but NOT load google, youtube and most websites!


from a check of the technicians of vodafone seems to be the fault of avast, here's what they tell me about the user:

"his pc goes to the Avast domain and asks for a file called dnsproxy (it's the 5th line in the bottom window).

The realsite functionality in practice overwrites the dns used by the browser to prevent some viruses from using a dns fake. "


the strange thing that does not always do it, but many times it only loads facebook, gmail and free email but not all the other websites!

what to do ?  help me

avast! Free DOESN'T have "Real Site" (DNS) feature...

yes i say..... but why the  Vodafone technics  say to me for my problems that 

AVAST  "change"  my DNS ?

Nope. (As mentioned by Rejzor, RealSite is only included in the paid versions)

Ok … there is not, i have the free  version , but


Why the engineer of my web provider (Vodafone) have monitoring my access to web and see
That Avast change my dns ???

  if I have not this protection in my avast , why ?

there is not possibility to  CONTACT directly the avast staff  ?

i search on the homepage in "contact" but there isn't a form to contact hes , possible ?

Well, Vodafone "experts" can say whatever they want, avast! Free does NOT have DNS changing/enforcing feature. So, it's impossible for it to change DNS.

Can they tell you what are the DNS addresses that were allegedly set by avast! ? That can tell us everything.

avast free ...


PS not possibility to contact avast support ? none ?

2. Unfortunately, there's no additional support (Email/Phone) for Avast Free.

thanks to all....

strange that  NOW  after 2 week that i have this misteriuous problem.... 

now is 1 week that work all ok , and i charge all the web sites .


Is a problem by avast , resolved now by the update of the daily database ? possible ?
