Title: trying to link yahoo mail accounts is stopped by Avast
Post by: REDACTED on January 19, 2018, 10:14:24 PM
I really need to link a work address to my personal address in Yahoo. Every time I try I get an Avast message that says :  "Threat secured. We've safely aborted connection on accountlink.www.yahoo.com because it was infected with URL: Phishing." It then offers to scan my PC. There are so many functions on Avast I don't know how to get around this - Is there an area I can type in the acountlink url so that Avast ignores it and allows it to link? And if it does, do I need to do something additional so that it doesn't stop the actual emails from being transferred ?

Thanks SO MUCH in advance.

Have you tried settings > webshield > exclusions?

Yes, unfortunately that does nothing. Get the exact same message. And it sounds so proud of itself that it has blocked this "problem" for me!
