Title: IDP.Generic reported for chromium executable
Post by: REDACTED on February 05, 2018, 05:28:01 PM
Can someone look into why Chrome.exe is producing false positives?  After shutting down the browser, I as informed that the .exe was quarantined because of 'idp.generic' detection.  I restored it and it is working fine.
Here is the virustotal link: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d081045b0e5da41c90be7f10feac7e398376a314676fd8e74897435d56362419/analysis/1517472404/

I believe this is the second time it's given me a hard time with Chromium.  The first was right after installation - it treated it as suspicious.  Here's the original download: https://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/download-chromium
